Blue night

It was the last day, the last big hurrah on the sledding hill. Number nine in a series of snow days, off from school. We all knew it would end.

But things are still covered here, slippery, sloppy, wet and cold. The light a dusk looking especially blue tonight on my walk down to close the chickens up for the night. Come with me.

As I make my way back up to the house, I can almost feel the heat from the woodstove just by looking at the warm glow from my office window.

What a great bunch of photos. I love the blue light of evening and the one with all the kiddos lined up. No doubt a winter to remember for our kids. No school for us tomorrow, Day #10 in all and Monday is a holiday!?

Beautiful.

We've missed 2 weeks, also. And just heard today that there was a major diesel fuel leak at the busshop this morning- so Monday is unsure. I think it was unsure before though- it's supposed to be a make-up day, but since they haven't been in 2 weeks, I don't think they could change it.
